The Ramsey County Focus Newspaper asked the six 2006 candidates for the Roseville City Council the following questions.  The questions and candidate replies are printed here with the permission of the Sun Focus Newspapers.

Question #1: How should the City handle phases 2 and 3 of the Twin Lakes redevelopment project differently than phase 1?  What lessons have learned through phase 1?  What are the pros and cons of working with a master developer?

Question #2: With health care and energy costs rising, plus union cost of living adjustments (COLA), the city can either maintain its current service levels by raising the property tax levy or reduce costs by decreasing services.  Considering that people seem to want to hold the line on taxes, what structural changes would you make to city services to insure long term fiscal health for the city?
